What's for Dinner, Sat., Mar. 12, 2022

A while back I made this layered vegetable dish with a recipe from Food & Wine. I decided to experiment with it tonight. The main change is the use of one of my Eric Ripert spice blends. This one is Sel d'Antibe, which is Gray salt, bergamot, and spices. I mix this into the panko-parmesan mix that is spread over the layers of vegetables, which tonight are sweet potato, Idaho potatoes, zucchini, yellow squash, and tomato.

So layered vegetables and in between this cheese, bread crumb, and herb mixture.Bake it at 350.

It's snowy and cold here, so I might want something a little more hearty. If I do, it will be tomato-basil chicken sausages.

Dessert tonight will be banana pudding with cherries over the top. Toasted walnuts.
Sweet 'n Spicy Good Earth tea.

Not sure.

So far some hot wings with blue cheese dressing and celery sticks.

Next?
We have a lot of fruit. Maybe a fruit salad or fruit plate.

Leftovers?
Meatloaf and scalloped potatoes
Beef stew

The Four Legged Food Critic has now decided that the only suitable food this evening is pancakes with creamed chipped beef. And don't forget the drop of syrup garnish!

It’s been at least 6 months since I’ve been, so it was spanakopita and kibbeh with tzatiki. Cold, rainy night and enjoying every bite.

go the store as more snow is expected...hubs is still recuperating from surgery but doing well enough that I could leave him for a bit. Thus, we had a simple but yummy dinner of cheeseburgers with a gluten-free bun. I use Trader Joe's buns which are the best I have ever tasted. We had Tator Tots, salad, and fruit...for dessert chocolate pudding or candy.
