Meatballs (beef) with chopped onion and celery, plus I mixed in one of my Ripert seasoning mixes.
I baked cornbread mini-loaves with chopped Cheddar cubes and green chile peppers in them. Serving with canola butter and mango habenero jelly.
Tossed green salad with tomato, red onion, celery, and yellow peppers. Dressing is Sesame-Miso Vinaigrette.
Apple blossom tart for dessert. Went to Trader Joe's last night and picked some up. Whipped cream on top. Decaf coffee.

But didn't eat much all day.
After ditching the offensive can of coffee in the garden, I returned to buy Maxwell House today, regular roast brick form.

(38,459 posts)I guess it would be cliche for me to say that my mom made the best meatballs, but she did. My family says that mine come the closest to hers than anyone else, but I somehow I never get them as good as Mom did.
Al & I are just going to have a pizza.
For Dad, I made stuffed peppers and sauteed zucchini.

We're still with the Landlady(!)'s mother in the OBX so I'm getting fancy tonight:
Appetizer
Cold fresh shrimp cocktail on lettuce with lemon and cocktail sauce
Entree
Blackened tuna steak, flash-seared and thinly sliced served on a tortilla with Cole slaw and wasabi
Side dishes
Homemade potato chips
Tomato and onion salad
Dessert
Green tea ice cream

(22,767 posts)Meatloaf, garlic buttered yellow potatoes and peas. I'm having a couple Tai Pei Pork Egg Rolls that I didn't have for lunch the other day before I give in and let him have them for lunch tomorrow. I really, really like them, he's had his share of them and I'm not giving up mine.
Haven't been able to get any Chinese hot mustard, so added some prepared horseradish to brown spicy mustard. Close enough.

(10,378 posts)There's a gas station chain here that has egg rolls and sometimes when I'm out and in a hurry I'll get them. They used to have hot mustard, then a couple years ago stopped. They have honey mustard, so I put that in the little condiment cup and mix in their habanero sauce. About equal parts. I've also mixed the honey mustard with Cholula hot sauce, but the habanero sauce is a little better. Not quite the same, but as you say, close enough.

(10,378 posts)I got some corned beef at the grocery store deli, and used some little yukon potatoes. Two eggs over easy on top of it all.
