Going to my girlfriend's for dinner. She is roasting a pork loin. I'm bringing the applesauce.
I also made the salad, which is tangerines, cucumber, celery, scallion, dried cranberries and currants. Topped it with glazed walnuts and pomegranate seeds. Put them in at the last minute.
I also made sesame ginger orange dressing to go with it. That's off to the lower right in the pic.
Tea and whatever she has for dessert; she didn't tell me that part.

(22,037 posts)It's a beautiful Spring afternoon in the Catskills so I'm going to grill a NY strip steak and toss a potato on the grill, too. I'm going to try to make a Bearnaise sauce but it's such a pain!
Steamed green beans with slices of almonds and a small tomato salad with Balsamic vinegar & olive oil dressing.
Orange sherbet for dessert.
ETA: NJCher, your salads are legendary!

(10,136 posts)We're providing dinner for the gaming group today, and this is something everyone will eat (one person doesn't eat olives, another doesn't anything beginning with "a" and it can be made in advance and reheated. I was going to put some Swiss chard in, as the garden plot needs to be thinned, but I forgot.
