Chicken, beets, carrots, cabbage, onions, collards, garlic. It's a weird combo but the flavor is interesting.

Dessert: corn bread biscuit, about the size of a 4" hockey puck, and some milk.

Yesterday was Pascha and I grilled two steaks and two chicken breasts. Last night we split a steak and accompanied it with a Turkish tomato and onion salad and air fryer broccoli.

Tonight I will have to come up with something involving one of those.

Out came Grandpa's ancient cast iron skillet and a pile of chicken pieces and the Landlady(!) set to work cleaning, flouring and seasoning them. Into the frying pan they went with a bit of bacon grease along with vegetable oil. The smell is intoxicating!

I'm making dirty mashed potatoes and the gravy as well as a large green salad with lots of stuff thrown in: halves of cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices, pieces of green pepper, shaved carrots and a dash of pine nuts; we'll probably have a Balsamic & olive oil dressing.

we have a little bit of pumpkin pie left for dessert.

Pork jalfrezi over jasmine rice, sauteed zucchini on the side.

Lemon bundt cake for dessert.

Al wants a cheeseburger, and I'll be happy to make that for him when he's ready to eat.

TJ is still sleeping off work and this dinner is dependent upon her arising some time soon.

I bought some nice thick boneless pork chops at half price at the little store today. They are going to be seared and then pan fried.
Broccoli from frozen
Sweet potatoes
