What's for Dinner, Sat., May 7, 2022

My girlfriend is coming over tonight and we are watching "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir" on my new DVD player. Yes, I have all the streaming services but some movies you just can't get streaming so that's why I had to buy a new DVD player.

Was thinking about ordering through Uber Eats but ehhh, nothing looks too healthy. I have salad prepared, so that's a possibility. I could also make fried rice and sesame-ginger tofu.

Now dessert? That's where we shine. Chocolate vanilla sandwiches? Yep. Chocolate nut bars? Yep. Lemon cake. Yessirree Jim Bob. We are well stocked in the sugar department.

What a terrific film! I wanted to turn it into a musical but we couldn’t solve several problems in the story. The original novel is romantically good, too. Enjoy!

On topic, we’re having sautéed sea scallops with roasted fennel served on rice.

I have no idea what it means, but I heard grandpa say it.
