For years and years, I've heard/read people singing the praises of frozen grapes. Not sure why, but have always been just, okay, and shrugged it off, never trying it.
We received a huge bag of very small red seedless grapes in our order a couple weeks ago. I mean it was huge, way too much for just the two of us to get thru before they'd go bad. So I decided, why the heck not?
They are freaking awesome! Very addicting and easy to keep eating one after another after another.
If, like me, you've just blown off the idea, I strongly recommend trying it. They make a nice, healthy and utterly refreshing snack for these dog days of summer heat.

(16,975 posts)I guess we got away from the frozen grapes, even if we liked them. You can mash a ripe banan and freeze it, gets a texture like ice cream, and you can add things to enhance the flavor. We liked that too

(9,581 posts)especially white grapes. I haven't frozen grapes in years, I guess I just haven't thought about it. Thanks for the reminder. Grapes have been added to my grocery list.

(2,850 posts)I haven't heard of frozen grapes, but one year I froze figs because I had 2 trees full of ripe ones and rain was on the way. I thought I would can them or make jam, but I found just eating them frozen they were like fig sherbet. I just shared some with company 3 nights ago.

(15,090 posts)I buy the giant bags of frozen fruit at Costcousually mangos and blueberries. A bowl of frozen fruit makes a good TV snack that keeps me out of the junk food.

(22,767 posts)at our small local farm stand and experimented with throwing chucks of that into the freezer, too. Very hard, too hard to eat, but... within just a very few minutes out of the freezer, they were wonderful. Still half frozen, but softened enough to eat, and very refreshing.
And you're so right, frozen fruit is an amazing summer snack!
