Going to my friend's house tonight and we'll be dining out on her patio.
She is making shrimp-basil-tomatoes with pasta.
I'm taking the salad, which is the tossed green I talked about last night: homegrown arugula, turnip greens, beet greens, iceburg, green ruffly lettuce, and red tipped lettuce. The veggies are cucumber, onion, radish, and green pepper.
For dessert, a cut up melon (cantalope).
Sweet 'n spicy tea for me and wine for her.

I cooked for Dad tonight. He had kielbasa, potatoes, carrots and onions (boiled dinner w/o the cabbage) and a salad (iceberg, red bell pepper, carrots, celery, broccoli, cucumber and onions) w/ raspberry walnut vinegrette.

Husband went completely vegetarian several years ago, and tho he's not any longer, and we both eat meat, we really love the flavor of these chik'n nuggets (tasty seasoned breading), so still get them every now and again, especially for this dish.
Water to drink, and ice cream for later if either of us feels up to it.
I am trying hard to imagine a state of being where one would feel up to ice cream.
I could complete a 40 course meal and Im pretty sure Id still be up for some ice cream.
