Pizza using a cauliflower crust (freezer section). I put on green pepper, onion, tomato, extra cheese (mozzarella and parmesan). Garlic shrimp, left over from last night's dinner at my friend's house.
Then I take a stack of basil leaves and do a chiffonade. Practically the whole top of the pizza is covered with basil leaves.
With my fresh garden veggies, these pizzas are so outrageously good!
Tossed green salad, also leftover from last night.
Dessert: tapioca pudding with blueberries and raspberries on top. Toasted almonds, too. Mug of spicy Good Earth tea.

How interesting; never heard of this and I've been gardening for decades!

(14,920 posts)It's very tasty. I got it in my CSA box at my local organic farm this week. They often have something unusual, such as watermelon radishes or candy cane beets, in addition to more familiar items. One of the other items in my box today was canary melon, which I've never had before.

(1,537 posts)Tilapia sautéed in cornmeal, red beans & rice, boiled spinach and no dessert because there's nothing in the house to make it with! Maybe an apple instead.

(22,767 posts)I keep reading people raving about it, but having grown up in an Italian family in an Italian neighborhood full of awesome mom and pop pizzerias, I'm really super picky about pizza and leery of trying it. Afraid of wasting the money.
I did stop in there once several months ago for gas. They had like 5 or 6 grades of gas on the pump and none of the prices at the pump matched the prices on their signs, so I left and went to a different station.

(22,048 posts)We had a small dinner party last night. It was a beautiful evening in the Catskills and we sat outside till late in the evening enjoying a fire, the company and nature's beauty.
The Landlady(!) made venison Bourguignon and it was fabulous! The meat was tender and delicious and her gravy was awesome. One of our guests brought a delicious red wine, Cantina Zaccagnini (2019) and I'm pleased that there's one bottle left for tonight!
