Ingredients
1 pound medium shrimp thawed & peeled
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 tablespoon rice vinegar
1/2 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
2 cloves garlic minced
3/4 cup water
Sesame seeds to taste
**I used thawed shrimp, patting them very dry was important and of intense interest from my cats**
Instructions
Pat the shrimp dry using paper towel. Add them to a large ZipLoc bag along with the cornstarch. Toss gently until they're evenly coated.
Add the olive oil, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, toasted sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and water to a skillet over medium-high heat. Once it's bubbling, add the shrimp and reduce the heat to medium.
Cook the shrimp for a few minutes until they're pink and the sauce has thickened to your liking. If the sauce is too thick, add another 1/4 cup of water.
Sprinkle shrimp with sesame seeds and serve immediately. They're also delicious served with chopped scallions.
Anything from 0.75 lb. - 1 lb. shrimp works. You can leave the tails on or take them off... totally up to you.

(22,039 posts)Im solo on the boat for the night and plan to have a whisky with a fellow sailor who is also heading south.
Dinner will be a salad of mixed greens with chopped red onion, sliced carrots, sliced green olives and chunks of red pepper topped with My own French-style dressing and dusted with grated Parmesan cheese.
As an entree, theres some of the fried Andouille sausage from a couple of days ago and Dijon mustard. I also have the last of the steamed asparagus.
I had to get a space heater because its so cold in Atlantic City with 20 mph winds gusting into the 30s. This remnant of Ian wont let go! Now Im warm.

(36,281 posts)...so I usually rely on something easy those nights. Tonight I have a mess of frozen Chinese dumplings to steam-- not homemade, but a good variety-- along with some leftover maque choux. I've got homemade chili oil, noodle sauce, and some good black vinegar to top the dumplings.

Tomorrow, I will have to cook again.
