Update to my infused coconut oil chocolate edibles recipe post.

Previously, it was suggested that the flower didn't need to be decarbed before using it to infuse the oil, that the heat of the infusion process was enough. That happened this last batch by accident. Husband was distracted and poured the coconut oil over the flower before decarbing, but we proceeded so as not to waste it. This resulted in a batch didn't turn out anywhere near as potent as usual. So our conclusion: it really is worth it to take the time to do the decarb step first.
Additionally, the last few batches or so, I've upped the recipe to three 72% cocoa dark chocolate bars (3.5 oz. ea) rather than just two, and upped the infused oil from 1/4 c to 1/2 cup. Once melted and all mixed together, the mixture is a lot thinner than previously, but it still sets up fine in the fridge, still have to let it sit out a few minutes in order to cut into squares, and remains the right consistency (not too hard or too soft) as long as the squares are kept in a container in the fridge.
Husband likes orange or raspberry flavored dark chocolate, so I've also been adding orange extract instead of vanilla. The flavor is so much better! The orange flavor is delicious and comes close to cloaking the flavor of the infused oil.
