I plan to poach some pears in red wine. I want use the pear slices and a little of the liquid to garnish pork chops. What side dishes? I thought of either fingerling or small red potatoes but what veggies? I would appreciate any ideas

I like to julienne.

(86,646 posts)whether it's leafy or bean or broccoli - like. A spinach and or romaine with a light vinaigrette would go nicely, maybe some bean sprouts and one other thing.
