First pumpkin pie

Of the season.
I have to pick up more pumpkins and see how they store in our cellar.
No freezer so I only have room to freeze about 2 pies worth. Getting the filling here is not cheap.

2. Yum. I did not grow up with it. A kady I roomed with in college was aghast

i had never tasted it. Gave me a slice. What a revelation. Yum. I don't remember is the pumpkin was raw or canned.

4. I hadn't found the canned pumpkin

In stores here so I continued making my own. A US friend here said he thought about making a pie but the cost was high. $14 per can. Yikes. Found a deal online but you buy 4 cans for 40....

5. Husband makes ours every fall

with the small sugar pumpkins and uses plain yogurt in them, too. Delicious!
