Chicken sausage tacos, hard shell. Roasted tomatoes, spicy guacamole, and chopped lettuce. There were already onions in the roasted tomatoes, which I did last night while watching the returns.
Later on tonight, a Greek salad with chopped cucumber, cherry tomatoes, feta, and red onion.
No dessert tonight, other than hot tea.

(17,005 posts)I added onion, garlic, jarred jalapeno pepper slices, frozen mixed vegetables, okra, and broccoli to sauted chicken breasts chunks. My daughter gave me some fresh local grown potoatoes, and they are so good grated and fried with some olive oil, s&p, worth the effort.
I had a fresh apple, celery, marshmallows, walnuts, and dried cranberries, so it was really good luck to make a yummy Waldorf salad I put some whipped topping on it, made it a dessert salad

Made a 🫐, 🍓 and blackberry compote that I paired with taleggio cheese and wrapped in phyllo and topped with cane sugar. Not too sweet. Not too tart. Dessert
Were on the Pasquotank River in North Carolina and the storm is coming over the next couple of days so Pelagic is docked in the town of Camden to wait for a weather window to head for Roanoke Island in the Outer Banks.
Because the First Mate has been feeding us so well on our journey, I took her to a local joint to have Bar-B-Q & Fry Chicken with hush puppies, mac n cheese, cole slaw, collard greens and mashed potatoes with gravy. Raisin cookies for dessert. Fantastic!
