with homemade deviled egg potato salad and cheeps.

Just pulled a dutch apple pie outta the oven. Mrs. Smith's. The local grocery has them $3.99 during the holidays and it's a solid brand with a nice flaky crust, even on the bottom.

Grocery has them fairly often, but not very good. I rarely buy a whole pie, as it's just me, but may look for one tomorrow.

and as good as they are, why not?

I am going to make a pie sometime soon. I love mincemeat (not the traditional style) and they want $8 for them, even now which is the only time you see them available. I have granny smith apples and lots of raisins, just need a few other items and good to go.

From this recipe https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/gwens-old-fashioned-potato-beef-casserole-2138703

I've made it several times, it's pretty easy and good. I use different cheeses and seasonings sometimes. Today I'm adding a little liquid smoke and using gruyere & colby jack along with the cheddar.

I also like to add some minced garlic with the beef & onion, and use habanero jack cheese and a mexican blend instead of the cheddar. I add a drained can of rotel when I make it that way.

Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy and stuffing. I roasted some green beans with french fried onions yesterday, so it was really terrific!

Layered the bottom with polenta I browned in a skillet, followed by onions and sliced Cremini mushrooms sautéed in same pan
Topped with some fire roasted tomatoes and then chicken tenders seasoned with garlic and oregano, more tomatoes and baked till chicken is done, then topped with shredded Italian cheese mix … back in the oven until all hot together …
Putting in oven now, can’t wait, I’m hungry 😋

I'd never cooked spaghetti squash before and was surprised at how easy it was to fix and how good it was.

I used Paprika, thyme, and salt/pepper to season it. I am drinking water tonight. I have low carb bars, fruit or maybe jello for dessert.
