What's for Dinner, Wed., Nov. 23, 2022

Veggie wraps using my breaded eggplant, roasted peppers, mozzarella cheese (melted), roasted tomatoes, and chipotle mayonnaise.

Ginger blood orange kombucha.

Blueberries and tropical fruit yogurt (if I have dessert). Lately I've been finding a cup of hot tea does the trick.

Oven baked fries and a side salad with buttermilk dressing. Easy dinner because I prepped most of thanksgiving today.

as well as the steamed fresh asparagus and cranberries (made 2 bags since husband likes them in his morning yogurt, too.) I ran out of the potato salad I made with the reubens and made some sweet potatoes today to go with.

Water (both of us) and coffee (him), tho I'm sipping on a root beer at the moment. I had a dr. appt. way up town at 1:30p and he went and picked himself up some lunch at Wendy's while he was waiting for me and had half of his soda left (he wanted to bring me back something, too, but, as usual, I wasn't hungry.)

Still have a small piece of dutch apple pie left, as well as dutch chocolate ice cream and cake cones. Putting in a pumpkin pie here is a bit so it will be nicely chilled for tomorrow. Rather than have him make his usual homemade version, I just bought a Mrs. Smith's this year, and there's almost a full can of whipped cream in the fridge I bought months ago (for what, I can no longer remember, but know I didn't need very much of it), but he likes to plop a scoop of my homemade yogurt on it.

hamburger, onions, peppers and extra cheese

Didn't have it in me to make much else. I got my pies and my stuffing made today. The turkey is in the brine.

He was waxing nostalgic for Mexican; he had a hard time deciding which placae to choose.

In Fort Worth you can throw a rock and hit Mexican food.

We ended up at Mercado Juarez. The food was good and we had fun. He wanted to have time with just his brothers and sister because the Thanksgiving crowd was going to be massive and noisy .

We finally got to talk politics last night at the Chinese place. The 4 of us are the only Democrats in the entire family
