Roasted Brussels sprouts in balsamic

Whipped sweet potatoes. Toasted pecans on top, drizzle of maple syrup.

Cranberry-walnut tart made with almond flour crust.

Decaf vanilla nut.

1. Asked husband if he's getting bored with the ham

after eating it since Monday. He said he kinda is. (I could eat on a baked ham until it comes out my ears! )

So, this afternoon, I started homemade tomato sauce with mild Italian sausage with fennel and pepperoni. Gonna make some meatballs and serve with angel hair, which is his favorite pasta. (Thought I had some penne, but was mistaken, and really wish I had some rigatoni, which is my favorite, but haven't been able to get it. I just like something with more bite to it.)

2. Thanksgiving leftovers plate

from the family get-together --- broccoli cheese casserole, mashed potatoes, cornbread dressing, deviled egg, cranberry sauce, garlic bread

3. Still eating leftovers for dinner tonight!

Turkey 🦃 and ham, deviled eggs, crescent rolls!

4. pork tamales with salsa fresca and queso fresca...

...Mexican rice, and something green, plus crunchy shredded cabbage to garnish. Sparkling mineral water for me, probably tea for Ms K. A slice of almond poppy seed cake for dessert.

Edit-- I just found some red chili gravy in the freezer!

5. Leftovers

The kitchen is filled with the mouthwatering aroma of the turkey stock reducing.

I will have turkey with gravy over mashed potatoes and stuffing and some of the cold sides leftover from yesterday - raw veggies, cream cheese dip, cheese cubes, deviled egg and more.

6. Perogies, stir fried red cabbage & kielbasa. Hot decafe tea.

7. Is Cheetos and Riesling a complete meal?

9. Instant Pot Holiday Turkey Biryani (leftover turkey recipe)

New recipe, so I hope that it's good.

Also making garlic Roasted Brussels sprouts.

11. I had Tung Ting Beef, Mr Yellow Dog had a jalapeno beef dish

his brother had Kung Pao beef and his wife had pork fried rice.

It was so good!!! We had not been out for Chinese in forever, and we were at the last Chinese place in Fort Worth (that I know of) which does not have a buffet. It has always been ranked as the #1 Chinese restaurant in Fort Worth - so our expectations were met.

My brother & sister in law live in Knoxville, which apparently is a wasteland where Chinese food is concerned so they definitely wanted to have some while they were here. They can find good Thai and Vietnamese food but not Chinese.

Anyone know of really good Chinese in Knoxville?
