What's for Dinner, Sat., Nov. 26, 2022

Cauliflower crust pizza with eggplant, lots of mozzarella, and roasted tomatoes! Also chorizo crumbles, which I jsut bought at WF.

Scored big there on my new favorite kombucha: blood orange ginger. Got 9 bottles. Wiped out the entire store supply.

Tossed green salad with artichoke hearts, green olives, red pepper, cucumber, sliced onion. Caesar dressing, I'm pretty sure.

Bought a chocolate bar at WF but already had my dessert on the way home, so nuttin' but decaf for me tonight.

1. Finally cooking my Thanksgiving turkey.

So that will be dinner!

Went to daughter's on Thanksgiving, then friend sent a ton of food from party yesterday.

2. Too many leftover mashed potatoes to toss, we will be having

bangers and mash with peas and carrots on the side and the last of the apple cake.

3. Soup

Vegetarian split pea soup
Baguette and butter
Pear and apple slices
Sparkling cider left over from Thanksgiving

8. Blackened Flounder

Mashed potatoes, side salad. I ate at work.

Boston Cream donut from Dunkin’ for dessert (we take turns buying pastries on the weekends- our fav bakery with almond croissants was closed today so we did donuts instead)

Only two more hours to go!

9. Oh golly, just reminded me of MY favorite bakery, 70 miles away

and if I'm lucky, a friend will bring an almond croissant on next visit.

10. Pork

Fried green tomatoes with a garlicky sauce to start.

Barbecue pulled pork, North Carolina style. Served with steamed broccoli and dirty mashed potatoes.

Apple pie and a brandy.
