Italian sub dressing recipe.

Gonna do homemade Italian subs Saturday for college game day found this dressing recipe gonna try it.

1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup vinegar balsamic or white.
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp dried basil
2cloves garlic crushed or 1tsp of garlic powder.
1/4 tsg of Xanthan gum optional
Then you mix it up and let it sit for 15 minutes.

So here in central Pennsylvania it’s hard to find a decent Italian hoagie problem is the bread ,Like you will have in Philly or jersey or Brooklyn it’s the water or philly accent worter.
Although the local store has started carrying amorosa hoagie rolls.

Italian Dressing like Wishbone brand? And then brush it on with a pastry brush? I don't eat subs due to diabetes and the bread being way too many carbs but that sure sounds good. Enjoy.

Sounds delish and perfect for college game day. What kinda meats and cheeses ya got?

If you ever see Ya Ya’s Italian dressing in the store, try it. It’s made in Akron so it may just be local. No worter problems there that I know of either.

Perfect outside crust, soft inside. Lots of good Italian bakeries there. Can't get them anywhere else I've been. I'm sure you'll make some scrumptious hoagies, though. When I go home once a year or so, I always get a cheesesteak, a panzarotti, and an Italian hoagie. You're making me homesick. lol They have the best snowflake rolls, too.

but, honestly, I just toss a small salad of chopped lettuce and onions, sliced tomatoes and toss in balsamic vinegar (red wine or apple cider works, too) and oil, salt, pepper and garlic powder, then put that on my sub when it comes out of the oven. No fuss, no muss, no biggie. Delicious!

Vinegar and oil was the only kind of salad dressing we ever had as kids. We didn't know or care that anything else even existed.

I love tomatoes onions and salad drenched in vinegar and oil. I do enjoy when the produce is fresh from local farms and we go farm market.

Like to keep a bowl of tomatoes, onion and cuke floating in vinegar and oil in the fridge and keep adding to it as we eat it. Heck, I'll even eat leftover green salad, wilted lettuce and all.

17. Kroger has hoagie rolls that are pretty good. Bolillo is the brand name, I think.

If you heat them up, they are a little toasty on the outside and soft in the middle.
