Chili today and cornbread or with grilled cheese on sourdough bread.

Or chili Mac or seriously goulash I’m not sure it’s not much of a stretch from chili Mac to goulash decisions. Am going back work after new year chilling today boys back school Wednesday.

Best things on a cold day. It's only 0 degrees out right now, here, but I see a soup and sandwich lunch in my future after I go brave the chill to run my Monday errands.

All your choices sound yummy, you'll figure it out.

Thanks.

I have been up here in Yellowstone country for over two decades, I have more winter wear than any other type of clothing! From a host of down coats, ski bibs and sheep fleece lined boots, hats and gloves collected over the years, I have that covered. I even have a snowmobile suit, one piece, that I have worn at -50F and walked around for over a hour in it... worked up a sweat just walking! But it doesn't get quite that cold where I am now, close but being a lower elevation it is a bit warmer, but we have wind like nobody's business nearly every day. Today will be a piece of cake in that regard and I have an older 4wd unit that gets me wherever I need to get to.

Now you have me thinking about what I'm having for lunch and it's only 5am!

Have a great day!

I usually get through winter with old cathart beanies hoodies gloves. Heading to store in bit so we can make the chili the one son loves Muenster sliced cheese on grilled cheese I’m in to it.

Until it gets down around the single digits, then I break out the real goods. Today it won't get above +5F and wind warnings so it's bibs and a medium down coat with a hood.

Travel safe!

It makes a difference between it being something useful for people or just another cat toy.

Made some last week. so tasty, didn't have any to put in freezer.

So glad I am in Texas, any temp below 50 degrees is too cold for me. We lived in Alaska years ago and I got my fill of snow and cold weather then.

Enjoy the soup. I’m wondering next time I make navy bean soup if I could pass soaking the beans 24 hours and just cook them all day in crockpot with yummy ham hocks.

Just put them in a colander or strainer and run hot water on them for a few minutes. Yes, got to have a ham hock!
