I've been asking ChatGPT to write recipes

And you know what? AI seems to write very reasonable recipes.

Here is its recipe for orange scones:

Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
1 large egg
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon grated orange zest
1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
Instructions:

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, cut the chilled butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, heavy cream, vanilla extract, orange zest, and orange juice.
Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the wet mixture.
Using a fork, gently mix the ingredients until a soft dough forms.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead it briefly until it comes together.
Pat the dough into a circle about 1 inch (2.5 cm) thick. Cut the dough into 8 wedges.
Place the scones on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the scones are golden brown.
Let the scones cool for a few minutes before serving warm with butter and jam, if desired. Enjoy!

Collating them and not giving credit.

I saw where they were saying ai might be owed royalties.
Actually ai has no ideas if it’s own it’s just stealing everyone else’s and regurgitating then.
So who is owed royalties?

But if they add that feature, as long as the resources are all publicly available, all it basically is, is Google by another name.

I think the idea is the AI makers might owe royalties to the creators of the content, not that AI is owed royalties.
