Cooking & Baking
Related: About this forumfinally back online, i missed you guys!
we're completely done with the old place, mostly settled in the new one and finally got the damn internet going.
the move went well, i've put together two tasty meals in my new kitchen, which is substantially larger than the old one. i can finally put out my kitchen table!
hit the farmer's market again this past weekend, made a very tasty crisp with the peaches i picked up and cherries that were on sale at the grocery store.
i'm excited to have more space to cook, i'm hoping to be able to branch out more now.

(35,730 posts)Things changed a lot for me with cooking when I renovated my kitchen. I didn't enjoy being in the old kitchen; this one I love.
I hope the same for you!

(24,146 posts)more peaches than cherries, though. i don't have a cherry pitter and was getting bored with pitting them.
i'm fantasizing now about the crisp i'm going to make with this weekend's haul, but the question is what to get. i am a big fan of strawberry rhubarb, but a peach and mixed berry would be lovely (palisade peaches out here, they are to die for)
i can't take too much money with me when i go, i could get myself into trouble.

(9,791 posts)My old decrepit computer finally bit the dust so I'm now using a new computer. I was using my Kindle Fire to check in here but that little screen was tough to deal with.
I'm happy to hear that your move went well and you have a nice big kitchen in your new place. DH and I hit opening day of the local farmer's market on Friday. We got two beautiful eggplants, a huge head of cauliflower and some tomatoes. I got big juicy local peaches at the grocery store last week.
DH picked a bunch of cubanelle peppers and the first ripe tomato from our small planting bed this afternoon. I love this time of year.
