'Stuffed Cabbage Soup' from Easier Eats

Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
4 tablespoons butter
1 yellow onion, chopped
1 head cabbage, chopped
roughly14 ounces tomato, diced
14 ounces tomato, crushed
3 cups beef broth
3 cups rice, cooked

Directions:
Step 1 -In a large dutch oven over medium heat on the stove-top, add the ground beef, salt, and pepper.

Step 2 -Thoroughly brown the beef, then remove it from the pot using a slotted spoon.

Step 3 -Add in the butter, onion, and cabbage, and cook until the onions start to caramelize, for about 5 minutes.

Step 4 -Add in the diced tomatoes, crushed tomatoes, beef broth, and cooked beef.

Step 5 -Reduce the heat to low and let the soup simmer for 15 minutes.

Step 6 -Stir in the cooked rice and cook until thoroughly warmed.

Step 7 -Serve immediately.

recipe listed were rolled into the cabbage leaves accept the tomatoes. She/we would roll the cabbage leaves with the meat, rice and onions and make a layer of them in the pot. Pour the tomatoes over the cabbage rolls and repeat with another layer of cabbage rolls. Pour in the stock She also added garlic. Put the pot of cabbage rolls on the burner, cover and cook till done.

While reading the ingredients I thought to my self, I know this recipe‼️ and was taken back to my childhood and into the kitchen...

Wonder how small you chop the cabbage.
