... she was schooling me. She taught me that cooking didn't require perfection, it requires being able to recognize what conditions are and adjusting. She taught technique, not recipes. And she entertained as she did.

He was so much fun in the first series. I lost a little interest when he went into the health line, but he was still fun to watch, even if I usually preferred the original version of what he was 'improving'. I have his first cookbook and I swear I'll try a raised pie someday.

Julia was a fantastic teacher, as well as a cook. You could easily overlook how much you were learning until you needed it and suddenly found out you had it. Did you ever see the show they did together?

... I found Kerr's show lost a little something when he stopped drinking and went 'reborn'. I am not suggesting going sober was a bad idea.
