What's for Dinner, Fri., March 5, 2026

Starting off with an appetizer of tuna salad, banana pepper rings (I owe my buddy Sheltie a for that combo idea), ciligene, wheat crackers. Chipotle mayo. Red onion.

Baby arugula salad with aforementioned ciligene, cherry tomatoes, toasted walnuts, and vinaigrette, homemade.

Breaded eggplant cutlet with tomato sauce and melted provolone. Sliced basil over the top and a bit of Parmesan.

Kombucha: cherry.

Dessert: Hot chocolate with marshmallows and almond biscotti.

Just a turkey sammie here on excellent french bread with Swiss, dill slices, & low salt chips on the side.

Enjoy!

Ps - now add some black olives! Yummy with tuna!

so hubby is going to pick it up and I've got the veggies sauteing... soup sounded good today. Lots of rain and lots of pain in my joints and bones.

Just got back from a Lenten Fish Fry at a local parish. Beer battered haddock, fries, slaw, mac and potato salad and fresh rye bread. A carb extravaganza! Glad we only eat these amazing carb bombs a couple times a year because if you eat the entire meal you’re talking over 4k calories! This one was pretty darn good. I brought half home. Cheers!🥂
