I was tempted to give you a motherly side-eye except I realized I just had a granola bar with chocolate smeared on the bottom…

The sweet kind brushed with browned butter and sprinkled with sugar - not the savory kind.

If I manage to muster up some more ambition, I might par-cook some bacon in the oven. Then I’ll have it over the next several days, BLT sandwiches and with eggs for breakfast and so on.

Loretta occasionally does motherly side eyes by hiding the candy bars.

Red grapes, Brie, and club crackers out on the patio.

our nephew (who works for Hershey) stocked us up recently. Loretta has them in a cardboard box under the bed. I worry that she is gonna wonder what happened to all those small Almond Joy candy bars went.

If I were you, I'd tear holes in the wrappers and sprinkle some black sesame seeds around so she thinks a mouse got 'em.
