What is your go to canned sardines?

I am going to start eating sardines for the protein and omega-3's./ in extra virgin olive oil, with skin and bones....... but, I want to buy a good quality.... It seems that King Oscars has a great reputation....not Chicken of the Sea or Bumble Bee.....

i will want to make a sardine pate'.....and eat them also on toasted bread I guess.... I have been doing an extensive YouTube video review search...can be confusing but good enough to make a choice...

What does the folks here have to say about their sardine plans?

Went to Amazon, the King Oscar I want is also unavailable at the moment.... Looks like I will have to go to our gourmet grocery store, Dorothy Lane Market here in the Dayton Ohio area....there are many other things I get there anyway but typically shop there on weekend.. https://www.dorothylane.com/

I am shocked at the new popularity..... my parents ate them, not me as a kid....When reviewing the amazing nutritional value...it is a no-brainier for me now....

I sure hope the price does not go crazy.....Maybe I will buy a big volume off Amazon ....Heck, I need to check out Costco...

Been eating them for years. Have to admit, some of the newer offerings are delicious, but pricey.
They actually now have restaurants offering tinned fish.
For years I used to be able to buy chuck steaks for a fraction of the cost of a delmonico. Then some guy exposed my secret and the price has skyrocketed.
Now I buy fishes too ugly for some, but tasty for me. Not saying.

Fried sardines + eggs... (bread them + fry them or simplyscramble them)...

Sardines + avocado on sourdough toast...

Sardines + mustard on crackers (esp King Oscar)....

Sardines mashed w/ egg yolk to make deviled eggs...

I ❤️💛💙 sardines...
