the spring roll is a simple one from the same cookbook as the blueberry ketchup (my other project today).

I'll report back later unless I'm too full to move from the table

and serve it over pasta. Friends brought me some excellent fresh lettuce, so a simple salad also.

Then I can use this ragu during the week for some other things. Maybe an eggplant parmesan or lasagna.

roasted pork loin
baked sweet potatoes
steamed green beans with cougar gold
broasted sour dough bread

then Mr. Ketchup called and said he's feeling a bit punky and wondered if there was any soup in the house.....

so it'll be potato soup with sour dough bread and a big salad for me

just soup with some saltines for him i suppose.

poor Mr.K

Ummm, I just have to have a soup around in the winter months.

I have a couple other possibilities for dinner in the 'frig, but I want to have soup around for the week.

And I'll make a big salad, too, with radicchio, endive, and red leaf lettuce.

(only $9.50!)

Rubbed with applewood seasoning, brown sugar, salt, pepper, jamaican jerk seasoning, and Moroccan Ras el Hanout, then grilled and served with cajun-style dirty rice. Delish.
