But it is so cold and snowing - I should have planned soup for dinner. We live in the same county as Punxsutawney Phil - that darned groundhog better be right this year!

Tortillas spread with cream cheese, fresh chives, pimento and mashed spicy tuna salad. Rolled really tight, wrapped in foil and chilled.

It was quite good. And there's enough for tomorrow night.

The thing with Chinese food (compared with pizza) is that there's great variety. When I order pizza, I like it with sausage, tomatoes and mushrooms so it's the same thing all the time. Also, this place doesn't use msg so it's relatively healthy.

and I will fix it.

Could be interesting, but I would put money on the menu right now:

Lamb Chops
Potatoes
Peas

You can run in several directions with those ingredients, it would just depend on the mood. Have a happy weekend!

Am going to oven fry the chops and make some blue cheese scalloped potatoes and a salad.

I really should do this more often. It gives him the chance to choose the menu and me a chance to experiment a bit.

Have a happy weekend yourself, yellerpup!

blue cheese was my favorite. Scalloped potatoes with blue cheese? I am sure I could finish the whole dish!

I found a bag of leftover tamales from last summer's party, pulled pork and yummy. I had a jar of chipotle/garlic/date salsa to spoon on top. Refried beans, chiffonade of purple leaf lettuce, showers of chopped chilantro and tostitos corn chips.

into a back corner. I found a bag of frozen shrimp from the coast and I can't for the life of me remember how old it is!

Your dinner sounds divine.

LOL. Yes, I know, I have had salmon salad 3x this week, but I am still trying to get over this horrid cough.

Each time I make it, though, it's different and tonight's version is from Martha Stewart. Spinach, chopped cherry tomatoes, flaked salmon, pecans, and goat cheese. Used vinaigrette I made with fresh basil. Was so excellent.

I strongly dislike sauerkraut. I had a delicious pastrami on rye bread with spicy mustard sandwich.
