have to blanch the peas if they are frozen? Can you just let them thaw? Thanks.

To the broccoli, bacon, raisins and sunflower seeds (or almonds). A simple mayo-vinegar-sugar dressing. No peas. I will take the suggestion of blanching the broccoli as the raw stuff can be bitter.
Totally love the crunchy-chewy-sweet-salty blend of this stuff plus it's (kinda) healthy!

The only problem with its popularity is taking a bowl of it to a potluck and seeing two or three other bowls there too!

Ingredients:

SALAD:
5 cups broccoli florets, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1/2 cup chopped red onion
1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1 cup cooked and crumbled bacon pieces
1 cup sunflower kernels
3/4 cup Ocean Spray® Craisins® Original Dried Cranberries

DRESSING:
1 cup salad dressing or mayonnaise
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions:

Combine all salad ingredients in a large mixing bowl; mix well. Combine dressing ingredients in a small mixing bowl. Mix until thoroughly combined using a fork or wire whisk. Add dressing to salad and mix well. Refrigerate 1 hour.

Makes 8 to 10 servings.
