Ok, so I am surf and turfing tonight, and was wondering how I should make the potatoes...

There was an amazing sale on some beautiful chuck eyes, and I have some crab meat on hand, so...

Fancy dinner night!! fancy dinner night!! But I seem to be in a potato rut. I have some golden potatoes on hand, and am serving some broccoli.

do you have any potato recipes?

If you are grilling, you can wrap them up with whatever else you have, herbs and some olive oil cbayer Jul 2013 #3

I usually just kind of pan roast them with some rosemary fresh from the garden, onion, maybe mushrooms (especially if I can get some good wild ones) and salt & pepper.

Cut the potatoes into wedges.

Chop about 6 cloves of garlic and five sprigs of oregano and add to olive oil and lemon juice equal amounts to come 1/2 way up potatoes. Then add enough water to mostly cover potatoes. Salt and pepper. Toss the potatoes in the solution.

Bake at 400 for about an hour, then toss again and cook for another hour, you may need to add some water, but don't add as much, you want all of it to burn off this time.

You can make these on the grill too, just precook the potatoes and then wrap them in foil, don't add water.

if i'm grilling it's SO easy to wrap some (usually red) taters that i've chopped bite size with some herbs or Mrs. Dash and butter in foil on the grill

they are so good that way!
