I am trying out a few date and chickpea recipes today... so I may just snack.

1. Too damn hot to cook.

Hell, it's too damn hot to even wash dishes. Forecast for the week is way over 100°.

2. sunday supper at dad's

knowing the family, they'll want chicken and taters as always, so i'm going to see if i can talk them into trying the lemon chicken recipe elleng posted.

3. Bean burritoes on a bed of lettuce, tomatoes, and sliced avocadoes

with sour cream and salsa . Cool here in PA today. Only in the 60's. It feels like Fall .

4. Got groceries yesterday!!

Stocked up. Have guests and cooked good steak and salad with melon/tomatoes/goat cheese last night. Ate in the cockpit at sundown. Wonderful night.

Tonight, not sure. Have to meet a guest in the little town, so may eat out.

Anyway, the weather and atmosphere are wonderful right now and DH is making bacon and crepes.

5. finally: my spaghetti and meatballs!

My kitchen is now super-clean.

I made an interesting salad with frisee', shaved fennel, red pepper, and purple cabbage. Very colorful. Made balsamic apricot vinaigrette to toss the salad with.

I made the meatballs and the sauce already. Just have to boil the pasta. I put lots of marjoram in the meatballs.

Off to the garden, first, however, to get in as much work as I can before dark.

6. Oven-baked barbecued baby back ribs.

Corn. Really nice corn this week!

7. Grilled sausage&peppers

Droped 'em on a nice, fresh roll... Soooo tasty

8. Scallops with oyster mushrooms and spaghetti. It was good.....nt

9. Not sure... maybe an omelet and a salad or caprese salad on the side.

I KNOW what my snack is tonight. Yesterday, I bought 3 big beautiful red bell peppers on
sale and I think I'm going to have 1 or 2 of them tonight with some low-sodium onion dip.

10. Corn on the cob, steak, fresh garden tomatoes, ciabatta and red grapefruit for dessert. Yummy.
