It's actually a cold pasta salad...nothing in it is cooked. NRaleighLiberal Aug 2013 #10
If that is the case... then next time try boiling the pasta first so it won't be as crunchy Tx4obama Aug 2013 #11
Then I would add red onion, since it is cold. Ilsa Aug 2013 #12

I got two nice fatties off of my early girl over the weekend.. sliced 'em up, did a chiffonade of basil from my garden, drizzled olive oil and fresh cracked tellicherry pepper... so simple, but so elegant.

Tonight I stir-fried and steamed a whole lot of yellow crookneck squash in olive oil, with garlic and freshly picked basil and parsley, as well as a half-cup of frozen peas. We served it over brown rice penne with parmesan.

The yellow squash plants are prolific, but our tomatoes aren't doing well and haven't for the past few years, mostly because of early blight. I do have a Black Krim slowly ripening in the kitchen.

Or garlic. Like making a hot olive oil dressing.

You could beat an egg, maybe add some Old Bay Seasoning to it and thinly drizzle it over the hot fusilli before adding the vegetables.

Beautiful picture of a beautiful pasta dish!

Thin, half slices, broken apart. I need the tangy bite to go with the tomatoes, I think.
