(10,129 posts)I got two nice fatties off of my early girl over the weekend.. sliced 'em up, did a chiffonade of basil from my garden, drizzled olive oil and fresh cracked tellicherry pepper... so simple, but so elegant.

(22,845 posts)Tonight I stir-fried and steamed a whole lot of yellow crookneck squash in olive oil, with garlic and freshly picked basil and parsley, as well as a half-cup of frozen peas. We served it over brown rice penne with parmesan.
The yellow squash plants are prolific, but our tomatoes aren't doing well and haven't for the past few years, mostly because of early blight. I do have a Black Krim slowly ripening in the kitchen.

You could beat an egg, maybe add some Old Bay Seasoning to it and thinly drizzle it over the hot fusilli before adding the vegetables.
