Found this while checking on the Sansair sous vide that is under development . . .

http://anova.myshopify.com/

It began life as a standard lab circulator and it's creator shrank the packaging and interface to make it user friendly for us foodies. It was originally $299 but is currently on sale for $199. Guess the Sansair got their attention.

It's slightly smaller than the Sansair and takes slightly longer to come up to temp--20 minutes vs 10. It also needs a deeper container like a large stock pot or cooler. On the other hand it will fit a cooler and you can direct the circulation flow to maximize temp control over a large container with lots of bags.

I found some independent reviews which compliment the quality and performance.

I'm thinking an order is soon to be forthcoming.

That's about what you'd pay for a used commercial circulator and this one appears to be better suited for the home since it's smaller and easier to store when not in use.
