(hello to any CC lurkers BTW)
I bought some to try making a thai dish, but the instructions for it's usage aren't clear to me, do I use the tips or the white root like area? Do I mince it or do I remove it, like bay leaves, after cooking? TIA

and you can mash it or mince it
alternately they do make a prepped paste it comes in a squeeze tube it's usually in the produce section of the grocery store
