(53,041 posts)I had a piece of raspberry tart in a box by the front door as I was waiting to leave. I decided to take dessert home because I had already eaten enough at dinner. When I got home, I couldn't find the tart. It turns out the little schnoodle had stolen the tupperware container out of the box and scarfed down my piece of tart.

(146,218 posts)We re-watched A Christmas Story last night. When the dog eats the turkey, it just makes me want to cry!
Hope you had a great day, BB, despite your losing the raspberry tart.

(51,907 posts)Had them with the usual steaming today, but am always on the lookout for variations on a thems. Don't think I've ever done anything with them other than put lemon and butter on.

(8,170 posts)I treat them like small cabbages, cut fine slices, put in the steamer and steam for 5 minutes or until tender. You can season with nutmeg (but not this year for us). I reserve them and add to a basic white or garlic sauce just prior to serving. If you use garlic don't go OTT as it can overpower the rather delicate and nutty flavour of the sprouts.

(8,170 posts)I might try my shredding with adding a little lemon zest to them. For some reason I have a good taste imagination and that is telling me that would be yummy.
I've got some whole ones left over I'll give it a try (depending on when I can get a lemon)
