I just finished carving up my deal from the store.

$6.95/lb for 100% all natural rib roast-total $66. Carved off the ribs and sliced the roast into 14 nice looking ribeye steaks. Last time I did this the steaks were so tender you could cut them with a fork.
Bagged and froze them. got about 3 months worth of steak dinner about once a week.

Buying a whole rib roast that is, then carving it up. When I buy a bone-in ribeye at the stores here, they all have 1/2 ribs, as the butchers slice it as such so folks can afford them, usually 14-16 oz portions.

The only place I've seen that doesn't do that in my neck of the woods is Costco. They actually sell "tomahawk" ribeyes - whole bone, about 1 3/4 lbs per portion.

Even for a meat lover for me, that is waaaay to much for one sitting.

How many ribs were on that roast you bought? Judging by the weight, maybe 4 or 5?
