What's for Dinner, Mon., Jan. 12, 2015

Turkey meatloaf with herb stuffing. It's a recipe from The Meatloaf Bakery cookbook.

I see the RG left me with these colorful carrots. There are all colors--purple, yellow, orange. Maybe I will do glazed carrots on the side.

We lost my little beagle boy this morning. His kidneys had shut down, his liver was almost shut down, and he had gotten to where he couldn't keep anything he ate or drank down. I can't even consider trying to make anything.

Oh, Erich, what can I say? I am so, so sorry.

I feel terrible about this.

As stated above, you did the best you could for him. There is nothing, just nothing, like losing one of our lifelong fur companions. My heart goes out to you.

Haven't made them in a long time. And I have a bunch of them left over. They reheat well!

Coverage begins in just one hour. Ducks v. Buckeyes.

I'm nervous as a clam at low tide. Or something.

Pot of chicken tortilla soup is on the back burner. Caesar baby kale salad is prepped. Pineapple upside down cake is flipped.

Gee, I wish I had thought to get some beer in the house. We rarely have anything alcoholic. The only thing here is about two ounces of cream sherry, and that just won't do. So I will settle for decaf green tea over ice with fresh ginger. The high life!

without a beer? Or a Mike's mango? I'd have sent out!

Your menu sounds divine. I wish I could enjoy pineapple upside cake. I'm going to research a grain-free option. Great idea!

They were a great price at the store, but I have sooooo much produce in the house, I didn't get them.

We're having "leftover leftovers." The leftovers from when I turned the leftovers into what my husband is now calling meatloaf vindaloo. And I made another batch of baked squash blobs from the leftover squash from that.
