Lamb roast for me, with roasted carrots and sweet potato.
Chopped salad, and I'm going to make French dressing to go on it.
I hope to pick up some white chocolate today, to further experiment with my chocolate-covered strawberries.

(14,733 posts)(for herself and to take into work, since I'm off chocolate now.) She found these giant, perfectly ripe berries with long stems still attached at one of the stores, and we could only assume they were packed especially for dipping, since at Christmas we had such problems trying to dip and decorate the large ones we bought that had had their stems removed as most strawberries for sale usually do.
We had the weirdest thing happen, though, when we tried white choc at Christmas. We were using the microwave to heat the chocolate up in a bowl, but some of it got too hot, and was ruined, but the weird part was how it was ruined - this dark brown or black liquid separated out from the rest of the white chocolate, which became more dried and puffy.
Not sure about dinner. Housemate wants to take me out sometime this weekend for my birthday, but I'm really just not feeling like it, might go with her to Bob Evans simply to get it out of the way and so she can pick up a loaf of the cherry bread they make that she loves.

(3,813 posts)it started as a Rotisserie chicken, after we ate part of it
it became chicken noodle soup, now it will finish it's trip
as Italian wedding soup.
got the spinach and meat balls ready, just pour the soup
into the pot and heat thru.
We have a freezer full of the stuff so it looks like chicken as far as the eye can see.

(146,218 posts)We have never been to a raft up, but we think it is where people tie their dinghies together and share food, books, movies, etc.. We are in an anchorage with about 15 boats, so it should be fun.
Enjoy your lamb. It sounds heavenly.
How do you make your french dressing?

(175,749 posts)It was good, just had to add a little salt. Biscuits. Made a key lime pie today (dreaming of warm weather!) and will have a piece of that.

(3,290 posts)almost on a daily basis and get many great hints, ideas and sometimes recipes. I am retired, and live alone so my suppers are most of the time pretty uninteresting. I love to cook and cook mostly for my freezer, kids to restock and friends who always welcome home cooked from scratch food. A great way to bring an instant smile to someone's face. Love it!!!
P.S. The extra large pitas were unwieldy to both stuff and eat. I think I will go back to regular size and just eat two. I make them pretty thin and they kind of split and leaked salad all over. I kind of suspected they would so I did eat over a large platter as my catch all. Best laid plans etc., etc.
