What I want for dinner/ What I will have!!!

I dream of a big bacon cheeseburger, onion rings, dark cooked french fries, onion and pickle too. A little Cole slaw. Lots of junk.

What I will have:
stir fry--more like sauteed chicken and veggies. OK, it tastes fine but I'd sure love something unhealthy.

Maybe some fried chicken(wish we had a Popeye's in my neck of the woods) with the same extras. I need some junk food!!!!!

I know better but I can dream, can't I?

But your body doesn't need it.

There's a reason we call it junk...

You might try to find things that are way yummy and still good for you.

I eat nothing fried, cook mostly veggies and chicken, very little other meat.

Sometimes I think of all that stuff we used to eat about 50 years ago without thinking about it.
Actually, when I think back, we never had all the health warnings we have now. Ah, the good old days. This old timer just likes to reminisce sometimes.

I want onion rings!!!!!

maybe you could compromise with one of these recipes for your onion rings...

Red onions have great health benefits. I don't know if you can make onion rings with them though.

What I want for dinner:
Greasy, cheesy beef enchiladas.

What I will have: ('cuz Mrs. Snark is the voice of reason)
Turkey enchiladas with green chilis, cilantro, diced potato, tomatillo verde sauce, just little bit of cheese.
Fat free organic refried beans.
Two Sierra Nevada Pale Ales ('cuz Mrs. Snark is reading for work and won't witness meal prep ;o))

that if you really do eat healthfully on a regular basis, you should indulge yourself. One time isn't going to kill you.

It's the day-after-day-after-day of junk food that does you in.

(homemade) stock for soup. Every now and then, and especially if I am out with friends, I'll eat a cheeseburger or a plate of enchiladas or bacon and hashbrowns. At home, when I'm cooking, it's usually just grilled/roasted poultry, veggies.

Something that I usually have on hand is a frozen California Kitchen White Pizza and if I get a craving, I can always throw that in the oven. It's not *good* for you, but it's not as bad as some pizzas.

Once in a while isn't going to kill you.

Cheeseburger in Paradise as your dinner music, unless you think that would simply make things even worse.

The odd bacon cheeseburger isn't going to kill you.

I think that for a lot of people, who never eat anything fried, who never have refined sugar in any form, who never eat whatever they think they shouldn't eat, I think that for them there's almost no joy in food.

Me, I love to cook, I love to eat, and I eat lots of things, including fried food, including bacon cheeseburgers.
