Stuffed red peppers. I'm stuffing them with sausage and vegetables. I'm thinking to make some type of spicy sauce to go over the top.
I made a huge salad with Boston lettuce, red pepper, celery, garlic chives, cucumber, roasted tomatoes, carrots, radish, and red onion. Grilled shrimp that were basted in garlic are mixed in. Chinese noodles on top. Using chipotle ranch dressing.
A nice bottle of pinot to enjoy throughout the evening.
Now, dessert will involve strawberries, but I haven't figured out exactly what to do with them yet.
I am all set to relax and enjoy my evening. Worked all day, so I'm really going to have a good time tonight!

I saw what I thought was a chuck roast and asked for 700 grams, about 1 ½ pounds. When I got home, I realize that he had sliced it into very thin steaks. I don't even think it's a chuck roast.
So i tied it all up with twine and I'm pretending it's a roast. I'm not quite sure what will be the end result.
Is it too early for strawberry shortcake?
Have a restful evening. Sounds like you deserve it.

Yeah, I don't know the obsession with the butchers at my Mexican grocery to slice up every cut of meat into paper thin pieces. (OK, maybe to make it stretch when feeding a family...)
Anyway, I'd like to hear how this comes out! You probably used a roll of butcher's twine, eh?

(146,218 posts)he would slice it up, even though this has happened before. I'm a slow learner sometimes.
I actually used some twine that is used to sew up sails when they get a tear in them. I am hoping that it survives, because it's kind of a critical piece of equipment.

(146,218 posts)Falling apart meat, just like I like it. I roasted it in soy sauce, five spice and ginger and added potatoes/carrots for last 30 minutes.
It's exactly like I wanted it.
Live and learn, lol.
Thanks everyone, for your support.

(146,218 posts)It had embedded itself into the meat and had to be cut off.

(2,016 posts)with ricotta, spinach, bread crumbs, Parmesan, green onion, lemon & garlic, nutmeg. Also, I had a couple of scallop stragglers in the freezer, so I chopped them up and added it to the mix. Drizzled with olive oil, and will bake for 30 mins uncovered. I thought about making a marinara sauce for it, but I'm done doing anything that requires thought or motion for the day. The chores are done, the squid is stuffed, and I just now popped a cork.
Time to chill.

(22,767 posts)just simple bacon, mayo and tomato sammiches as we were both sort of tired. Today I'm marinating chicken for shawarma, though.
