Adding petite cut tomatoes with jalapenos for a spicy kick to the crushed red peppers already in the pot.

I usually cook with red when the Vidalia onion isn't available.

6. i don't like sweet onions. To me onions are supposed to have a bite.

I use red, white, yellow, green and in the spring I have wild onions growing in my front yard. Those are strong enough to take your breath away.

3. Grilled country pork ribs w/ BBQ sauce

With Cajun red beans, and some leftover spud salad. I used up the last ham hock in the freezer for the red beans.

9. Made a pot of minestrone

Made a pot of minestrone today, had some pizza left from our Friday visit to our favorite pizzeria, cut in small pieces and crisped up in the oven. Beautiful leaf lettuce at the market today, so made big salad too. For dessert had ice cream and strawberries. Purchased our first ice cream in about two years. Bought Blue Bell.
