But that doesn't appeal to me. I guess it's the same as raisins or something, but it sound kind of icky.

I've heard it for the first time today.

I just pile a bunch of seedless grapes into a baked pie shell then dump on about a cup of melted grape jelly doused with a bit of liquor.

Very light and refreshing!

The jelly glaze just makes things beautiful and shiny. I've never found it to be overly sweet. I think the little bit of Cassis or Grappa I usually add tempers the sugar a bit.

It's always a show stopper when it comes to the table. I got the recipe out of one of those food magazines years ago but now for the life of me I can't find a picture.

My stepmom called them 'frosted grapes' . I can't recall if she baked them or not. They looked like they had a coating of sparkley ice on them.
Maybe it's not the same thing...I don't know.

They were dipped in egg white and then sugar, and set out to dry til frosty-looking.

Strictly ornamental. I had a decorative scale that I put them in, for a centerpiece. Not for eating.

So pretty in a fall centerpiece. I'd certainly try them glazed from the oven, but like you, I used them only for decoration.

pie and cobbler. The concord's had a deeper flavor and better cooked texture than red or green table grapes. She also used Italian plums this way..the flavor was similar.
