cooking from frustration/kitchen political rant

The news today from them has me so p/o I am trying to decompress by cooking. I am channeling G-Ma M right now. I made lentil soup for tomorrows lunch/dinner. I am braising Mediterranean style lamb chops right now and the rice pot will be in use soon. Better then drinking/drugging I guess.

Do what you need to do to stay calm and focused on defeating these stupid and criminal Republicans. We are more effective when we stay c alm and focused on defeating Fascists and electing progressives at every gov level. Sending you rays of sunshine to help illuminate the dark delusions that abound.

more cooking with more wine, pretty much since early November.

Braised lamb at our house tonight, too.

A nice though short-lived diversion.

I was watching MSNBC, turned to the Mary Tyler Moore marathon on Sundance. Much better for my blood pressure - and my sobriety.

Before retiring, I had a high stress job. At the end of the day, I'd cook things that needed lots of chopping. I'd get out my favorite shopping knife and chopping board and chop, chop, chop, Great way to wind down a stressful day. Kind of like having a scream room.
