What's for Dinner, Tues., Mar. 14, 2017

Polenta with tomato sauce. It has bits of roasted veal breast in it.

I'm not sure what else. I know the RG will be cooking up something else that will be snowstorm comfort food. I may post back when I find out what it is.

We're binge watching Netflix's "Rectify" on our snow day.

For dessert, I'm making flourless carrot cake from a recipe at the NY Times.

Andouille sausage, chicken and shrimp.
Chopped bell pepper, onion, celery and garlic sauteed.
I added an unusual ingredient, mushrooms, to the veggies.
Canned fire roasted diced tomatoes and chicken stock.
Cajun seasonings (an off the shelf mix), plus bay leaf and black pepper.
Long grain white rice.

I am waiting to add the Louisiana hot sauce until serving time as TJ doesn't like food too spicy.

It smells really good.

the endive salat is endive, boiled potatoes and bacon bits in a sweet and sour sauce. It's 56 degrees here with a light rain falling.
