3. Two-Hour Chicken

Roast chicken breasts and thighs, roasted with herbs and spices, with also-roasted carrots, potatoes, red pepper, and onion.
The big treat is the lemon sherbet I made today. It was a simple recipe, just juice, zest, cream, milk, and just enough sugar. I'll report back later (I like to save my dessert for a late-night treat).

that's when I bought the Haagen Daz lemon sorbet. It was satisfying, but I'll bet your sherbet is oh-so-good.

like a baked cobbler, but done on the stove top with dumpling. I cheat a tiny bit, and sprinkle mine with cinnamon/sugar when it's done and pop it under the broiler for a minute or two. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipping cream.

...grilled for hours using a recipe from an old Saveur. Fabulous with fresh corn on the cob
