What's for Dinner, Thurs., July 6, 2017

An egg dish made with six eggs, diced potatoes, and numerous cheeses, including goat, mozzarella, and feta. Parsley.  It was supposed to be baked, but we didn't want to heat up the kitchen, so the RG cooked it under very low heat  in the cast iron skillet. Tossed salad to go with, using my butter crunch lettuce from the garden.

homegrown green beans. Homegrown lima beans. Buttered red potatoes. Lime-Cumin Slaw made from a Bobby Flay recipe which is awesome. Sliced tomatoes. We ate this at noon and will have homemade minestrone later. I also made lemon ice cream from the recipe that I posted here some time ago. This time I made it into ice cream sandwiches using graham crackers. Oh, and a few Dale's Pale Ale IPAs!

Hebrew National hot dogs, Gluten free buns...homemade baked beans and spinach sauteed with olive oil and garlic...magic cookies for dessert...first time I used gluten free pretzels sweetened for the crust instead of Graham crackers. I was recently diagnosed with Celiac, and it is a learning experience in terms of cooking and baking. Your egg dish sounds delicious. My lettuce bolted.
