Flounder and shrimp.

Grilled eggplant salad.

Dessert is an apple tart we bought this a.m. at the Whole Foods bakery.

This place, the Alamo, has been around for years, and was just recommended to me. I barely know an enchilada from a chimichanga, but I guess I'll find out.

I'm making raspberry sherbet today! Had I known how much work it is to make raspberry puree, it would have been strawberry...but the mix tastes delicious (I added a touch of lime juice and some of the zest). Yes, I like tart flavors.

It was a plate with one spinach, one chicken, and one beef. Delicious! My husband loved the place...it's very tacky and family-owned and run. Everything was good (I tried some of his sampler plate). We'll definitely be going back, as he's been wishing for a good Mexican place.
And the raspberry sherbet was very good, too! It has a color exactly like borsht lol.

We had Beef sandwiches au jus with rosemary and garlic cooked in a pressure cooker. I bought homemade hard rolls for those who can have gluten and Against The Grain baguettes for my daughter and me (both have Celiac). Those are very good but expensive. I bought the Against the Grain cookbook...kind of complicated recipes but worth it. We also had a giant salad made with chopped bagged salad (kale spinach cabbage) and baby greens. I added dried cranberries and pepitos. We had homemade poppy seed dressing. We had Gluten free thin mint cookies for dessert. But your meal sounds better!
