What's for Dinner, Wed., Aug. 9, 2017

Looks like another restaurant tonight. This time the one that has the beautiful NY skyline view. The RG is finished with a speech and hosting a tasting, so he doesn't feel like cooking. It's so nice that we might dine outside on their patio.

Last night my friend and I were talking so much on the way to the Japanese restaurant that we missed the turnoff, so we decided to chance a new Thai restaurant whose location wouldn't make us turn around. Am I ever glad we did that, because I discovered a wonderful new restaurant. We had chicken sate and dumpling (Kanom Jeeb) for appetizers and for entrees, the crab curry special and Pad Se Ew (wide noodles with shrimp, chicken, vegetables, and hot spices and peanuts to sprinkle over).

What was really impressive was the way we were treated. The staff was so nice; they just couldn't be more attentive, upbeat, and happy to have us there. They are doing well, as the place was packed when we arrived.

Hubs works tomorrow, so our nice dinner was tonight. Lobster tails and steak, steamed broccoli, cheesecake with raspberries for dessert. I love Prosecco so that was the wine of the evening.

Your Thai restaurant sounds wonderful, Cher. Good service is as important as good food.
