Made a broth out of a smoked (meaty) ham hock first. Hopefully, all will be ready by dinner.

scoop out the seeds and a little flesh to make a depression. Then I top them with brown sugar, with a pinch of salt and allspice added. Finally a pat of butter and a drop of vanilla on each one. I'm allergic, but you can top with some nuts too.
Bake 350 for 30 min.
Sorry it took so long to answer.

with linguini. I actually made it yesterday in a crockpot and am having leftovers today. Three more individual portions are in the freezer.

I live alone, so I often freeze up what I've made.

Oh, and I'm not sure just how close to the real thing mine is, but I found it very tasty.

Also garlic bread and nice green salad.

The chef is trying new dishes. For appetizers, some sort of lobster dish and a Spanish type of pie with tomato sauce.

For dinner, fish francese with shrimp. Salad with artichoke hearts, yellow rice, mixed vegetables, and cottage fries.

We had a half-pitcher of red sangria and after-dinner drinks of almond liqueur.
Also espresso.
