It has pinto and great northern beans with the usual vegetables, broth and ham. Keeping the seasoning simple tonight, bay, sage and lots of garlic.

We haven't discussed what goes with them yet.

Cornbread and a salad with baby spinach, bell pepper, celery and cucumber will be my suggestion.

This salad turned out great! Here are the details:

Tossed mixed greens (mélange a trois, it said on the package). Sliced cucumber and celery, chopped carrots, chopped yellow pepper.

Then I picked up some chicken tenderloins at the store and dipped them in egg, breaded them with panko, and sautéed them in olive oil with turmeric added in. Took them out and chopped them into bite-size pieces and put mango pepper sauce over them.

Tossed the greens and vegetables with Marie’s ranch and put the tenderloin bites in the middle. Sprinkled over the top were the microgreens I've been growing and the snapped pea crisps.
